Identify leather coral

Any ideas of what this would be?

1. Would be hard to properly ID until polyps are out and fully inflated

2. Are you sure it’s a leather? Almost looks like an encrusting coral of some kind

my lfs said it was a leather but they don’t know which type since I’ve got it, no polyps or anything have came out and while at the lfs they said that no pops had come out in the time they had it either
 
If I were you, I would not have purchased a coral that looked like that, especially if the LFS said that it did not extend polyps for as long as they’ve had it as well.

Unless I really trusted the LFS or if it was super cheap.
