I'm having a hard time dialing in my alk needs. Some days it runs high, other days it runs low and I add all4reef. I just want stability.

I have this statement: If Alkx3 > 9.25 Then OFF

However, it dropped an entire point in the next six hours before the trident ran another test.

My goal: How do I get it turn turn off for 2 hours if the Alk tests over 9.25?

I'd rather not run a test every two hours, reagent isn't free :)

The thing with AFR is that it takes a couple days for it to register since it's not added immediately - it's a formate.

I'd suggest manually controlling the dose until you find a sweet spot and then start using a target to try and control.

All for reef seems to take about 12 hours in my tank. I kind of like it because it adjust the alkalinity back up a bit more slowly compared to adding reef buffer or diluted soda ash.

I'm still at a regarding how how to pause dosing for a few hours.
