If you could only recommend one kind of fish for a nano tank, what would it be?

I know, I know... There are so many awesome nano fish options! How could you ever pick only one!? But just for the purpose of this conversation, if you could only pick one, what would it be?

I would have to go against the grain and say a giraffe...because giraffes are awesome. You just don't know.

You might call it the default 'boring' option but clowns are so fun to watch and they have a personality. Which is great in a small tank that probably sits on your desk or is at least very close by.

So my new favorite nano fish (since I had them in my desk tank) is barnacle blennies. They're so fun to watch!

I’m going out of my realm but I have to say clown goby!

I’ve had one for a few months before ich hit me right before I got a QT system. But when I had him he was so nice! I would see him hopping along the tank perching on all sorts of stuff. He would get brave and perch on my trachy from time to time.

As an honorable mention I have to second a tailspot blenny. These guys have character that seems to belong in a fish triple it’s size! So fun to watch and keeps algae at bay!

I’ve not seen a more entertaining to watch fish than the Midas Blenny. Very active and in and out of holes and caves. He’s a little bit of a bully in my tank but still very interesting.
