After being on here for a bit I’d figure I’d put a build thread. Here is my IM 25 gallon that has been running for about 3 months with great success. Running an AI prime 16hd, Red Sea stand, IM heater/ return pump and a Nero 3. Dosing Red Sea foundation pack as well.

Multitude of corals in there- torches on the left rock island and a mixed reef on the right island. Stocking is currently just 2x clowns and a cleanup crew. Would love to add something to the sandbed if you guys have any recommendations !

Parameters as of 30 mins ago:
Salinity: 1.025
Temp 78
PH 8.2
Alk: 8.4
Calcium 440
Mag 1300
Nitrate 6
Phos 0.04
Ammo 0

Great looking tank! Always a big fan of IM 25 lagoon. I was surprise that IM25 fit Red Sea stand perfectly. Enjoy this phase because next you will likely to see more algae on sandbed, but patient is the key to pass this phase. For addition to the sandbed, I think some zoa rock or clove polyps rock would be awesome. If you are looking to add more fish, thinking about some sand cleaning fish like diamond goby or banded head goby. I have success with them to keep my sandbed nice and clean, they do shifting sand and makes some rock slide, took a few days to settled. Cheer!

Hey, welcome. 🙂

Tank looks fantastic. There are a lot of IM 25 owners on R2R, you're in good company.

Surprisingly the ugly phase came/went real quick. I added a bunch of liverock from my other tank in the back chambers & dry in the display. Not getting my hopes up but praying it all stays clean lol. It’s in my apartment living room so I’m monitoring all levels like a hawk to make sure it always looks nice on display. Thinking about a trachy for the sandbed but worried one of these torches will sting.. not sure yet but all these torches were out of my other tank and they’re doing great still. Thanks!

Vote yes for Trachy! Still being a piece that catching my eyes every time I enjoy my tank. Got mine from local fish store few months ago, mariculture from indo, chunky and healthy now.

I was inspired to get the im25 from seeing other people’s on this website lol I just never had an account. I think my next purchase will be a trachy, yasha/pistol pair, cleaner shrimp & a mandarin (will ensure pods are abundant first & if not, will skip the mandarin). Anyways thank you!
