I have 5 tanks , one at 400 gallons, 2 at 200 gallons each and one with 80 gallons all run on one filtration system. I also have a 50 gallon sea horse tank that is on it's own reef filtration set up . I do approx 75 - 150 gallons a week water change. I use a 100 gallon sump as my filtration system with 2 huge protein skimmers running as well as a refugium that I have jelly fish living in. I use 400 watt 20 k bulbs in the 400 and both 200 gallon tanks as well as I have LED blue in my 400 gallon. Adding LED cuts down on the time required for the 409 watt bulbs so that helps with the algae in the 400 gallon. Lots of snails, emerald crabs and sand sifting stars helps keep the tank clean and free of algae.

By the way I also feed my fish 4 to 5 times a day as well as feed my corals daily

I have Anthias and they require multiply feedings a day so if they eat all my fish get fed . It's really helps to have the proper protein skimmer in place as well as doing the water changes weekly and in my my case I often do the water changes twice a week as it's a lot of water to remove all at once so I sometimes break it up . All my fish are big and fat as are my corals, some people like to starve their fish to cut back on the husbandry but I do the opposite .
