That's going to be sweet! It aint no reef but its a system a lot of people have not done. A mangrove estuary! Waiting for the mangrove. Its a horseshoe crab environment! A brackish system kept at 17-20 gravity. About half the salt of sea water.
Dwarf hair grass, cherry shrimps, saddleback clown, porcelain crab and those nuisance pond snails you can get everywhere. They can be acclimated to salt water lol. Who knew. Grabbed them from a pond here in oklahoma where I live. The horseshoe crabs love them. They eat them all so I need to gather a **** ton next time. Good food source!
those scollies.....drool
I dont got a thread on how, just Euryhaline creature suggestions. So far nothing. I do know that its basically a tannin tank with sea water. To acclimate the animals and plants, increase the salinity daily until its .017. About half of sea water. Do it over the course of a week. So like... .003-5 increases. You can probably do in 5 days and be fine but the longer you let them acclimate the better the chances of survival. Dwarf hair grass/ manatee grass/ and some Anubis can do brackish. I dont remember what Anubis species do. Ill poat a list of Euryhaline creatures. I know for a fact that scuds are fresh and salt. That's going to be sweet!
Thread link??
I always kinda wanted to do that.
Sir, how do you make the first picture so gorgeous? Was it mostly due to the yellowish lighting?Morning and evening.
