I have posted this on a couple threads.
I have an IM EXT 170.
Anyone setting one up should look closely at the weir overflow box.

On mine where the black acrylic weir is siliconed onto the glass there is a gap.
I filled mine in with black silicone.
Imo, it should come this way from the factory. IM has had cases where the black acrylic pulls away from the glass.
I believe it is because of this gap.
Water flowing from the tank goes into then over the gap to fill the overflow.
Running a bead of silicone into the gap prevents the constant flow of water into then over the gap.

I should have taken a pic before adding the bead but did not.

Check yours out before adding water.

Anyone with a gap can post a pic so everyone knows what to look for.

Happened to me but the gap was about an inch big and bubbled the whole back wall. I got it warrantied and the new one just arrived.

Yes the small gap I saw on mine was most likely the cause of your delam.
Water flowing into the crack caused it to release, imo. Water is very agressive. This is why I filled mine in after reading your thread .

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
