Pink Streak will be a pain to find as well. I had one in a cart at Blue Zoo for my nano 25 , stupidly didn’t check out immediately and when I went back a few hrs later it was sold. Have been looking for one of those or the ever elusive possum wrasse for a month. Had a gold assessor . They’re very pretty and well tempered for sure.

I’m hoping I can find another one. A few months ago there were like 8 at TSA tiny one too. I saw one possum at TSA yesterday, unfortunately I haven’t had luck with them and prefer the Pink. Not sure if they ship but you could try and see.

My Pink Streak he/she is fearless and excellent nano fish. Been in the 3’ reef long enough and the only fish that spooks it is the Tomini. Excuse the dirty glass, lights ramping down.

Steve did you ran the Reefi uno in the 30L or the 60?

Tank is salty at 1.027

Mounted the Reefi Pro, adjusted hours, & measure PAR. Need to run cable properly but light will remain off for a few weeks while cycling so to the bottom of the list.

IMG_7131.JPG

Potential Light Schedule
On at 7:00 - Sunrise Profile
At 8:00 - Blue Profile
At 10:00 thru 4:00 peak - DaySPS2 Profile adjusted % & hours from default
At 6:00 - Blue Profile
Off at 7:00

PAR.JPG
For reference I'm using the AI HMS mount with the 3d printed slide-on adaptor. The default 90-degree reflector mounted approximately 12" off the water.

Basically, double the intensity from the DaySPS2 Profile. The first PAR reading with default yield 170 so I just double the values. 🤷‍♂️

Setup one of the MP10 in Mobius App. Had to do some Firmware updates and my older one now doesn't show up after the first Firmware update 😬. I had to order the Mobius chip since it had the old (green) Wi-Fi one but moving away from the WMX module for consistency. Worst case will just set the mode with the controller but wasn't expecting for it to not show in the app. I see more troubleshooting in my future. One of two operational need to find the power cable for the second one and figure out the Mobius issue.

It's getting late but might just start Dr Tim cycling tonight...

Officially started cycle this morning. Dosed 30ml of Dr Tim one and only. Just searched the official page and read I can drop the full content… 60ml bottle.

Ammonium max dose is 4 drop per gallon I used 60 drops.

Pull some old test kit and of course they are expired.

Did I miss the intent of going BB?

I been going back and forth on it. Kind of want to do BB as I have always ran sand but think it doesn’t look natural. Decisions…

If I’m not mistaken you done both what’s your opinion on it? I read maturity might take longer believe I heard this from one of the WWC video.

For pro flow can be maxed, and detritus accumulation is reduced or at least easily removed.

Cycle underway, bacteria bloom in full force doing its thing.

IMG_7137.jpeg

IMG_7135.jpeg

Figured out the issue with Mobius and second MP10. Basically user error, didn’t set the Mobius chip properly or all the way into the contacts…

IMG_7150.jpeg

The second one is older hence the chip upgrade and the dry side is a bit noisy but it’s now updated and showing in the app.

IMG_7148.jpeg

Playing with flow a bit. Here is a short clip of Nutrient Transport mode, anti-sync at 70%. Trying to get a wave going.

Day 6 on the cycle, I had added 60 more drops on day 3 per the instructions. Measure ammonia this morning again and added 60 more drops.
IMG_7171_1.JPG

Went to two LFS yesterday afternoon and spotted these but were sold out. Maybe a good thing since tank is not cycle yet but they were perfect size for the 25.
IMG_7162.JPG

Power went out the other day. Luckily, I was home and was able to move the return pump to battery. Long term would want to run both tanks returns on the Ecoflow. Both pump can run for approximate 12-15 hours. Hurricane season is around the corner so want to future proof it.

Looking to potentially attend these two shows since they will be local. Aquashella is next month and Reefapalooza the following one.

Do you have a screen/lid? I believe those fish are prime 'carpet-surfers'. 😉
Yeah, I do have a lid.

Day 9 of the cycle and per Dr Tim we can add fish but I still have high ammonia reading so we wait a bit longer.

Ammonia appears to be in the 1.5 color spectrum.

Day 20 update…

IMG_7230.jpeg

I haven’t added more ammonia but did add 2-3 pellets twice now. Water still cloudy so turn on the UV and added 1 nano pack of Chemipure Blue. Ammonia still present. If it wasn’t because I read that Dr Tim Fishless cycles is slow I would have attributed it to the expired test kit…

IMG_7232.jpeg

Might end up moving some rubble or softies to speed things up a bit. Have some POTO frags brewing, corals I need to chop, and placed a BattleBox order from Adam too.

Some of the POTO frags have encrusted their plugs but still fighting massive algae and low nutrients in the other tank.

Ooo, entrusting Acropora, nice.

So you didn't use any medium from the running system to seed the new tank?

Thanks!

I haven't added media at least not yet. I plan to bring some rock/rubble but was hoping to do it after the original cycle was done for diversity.

Mounted/routed light/cable this morning. Looks level, had to do some diy so it didn’t leaned forward.
IMG_7301.jpeg

Trying to organize and found some IM nano accessories and R2R sticker.
IMG_7312.jpeg

Plan to go to Aquashella today and walk around the show with the Mrs. I don’t think I will get anything since I have an order coming next week from BattleCorals. However I would like to add some fish pretty soon. Tank needs some movement.

Introduced a Purple Firefish as the first inhabitant and 2 Trochus snails. Lowered the light intensity since there are no corals and reduced the flow since adding the fish.
IMG_7515.jpeg

At least it’s out part of the day. It has a nook in the back of the rock work that it calls home.
IMG_7517.jpeg

Also trying to plan the layout of the DIY controller board. Have cables/controllers just laying on the floor.
IMG_7450.jpeg

Option A controller top and power near the bottom.
IMG_7525.jpeg

Option B power at the top and controller midway.
IMG_7526.jpeg

Option B allow me to do like a shelf for the doser below the controllers and not have to worry if it leaks into the Power bar but I like option A a little better, decisions.

One of the LFS has a few Pink Streak but I feel the tank is just too clean & new to introduce one at this time. I may also decide against the Blue assessor as the light is pretty blue. I guess I can always change the spectrum or add more white. Here are a few wrasses from the LFS.

Need to bring a test coral and was thinking a Zoa to see if they don’t melt. Have some Super Saiyan that look great under blue, are pretty hardy and need some trimming. Might cut a few and place in a tile at least temporarily.

I’m trying but too many distractions… 😆

Ok, It’s that time of the year where I was excited and looking forward to delivery truck/van. So today was that day.

Wanted to try something different for LED and been reading a lot, even did a thread to see what others thought and help me narrow my search. In the end decided to go with this light. Might cook some corals from what I read, we shall see.

IMG_6810.jpeg

POTO order… I read so many great things about them but this was the first time ordering from them. Literally put them in the tank and they started to open up and expand the polyps.

Been thinking about running bare bottom on this tank. Now let’s setup and cycle the IM Nuvo 25 lagoon.
No way! I just seen your thread back on my feed and I actually just ordered some frags from POTO.

Share some pictures when you get them. Mine are doing great and encrusting with the exception of the POTO Iceman, is really pale, I plan to move it down to see if it gets its color back before it gets any worse.

FYI; You should setup a build thread. For some reason I thought you had one. I saw you mentioned you got the Helfrichi firefish. That one is a really nice one.

Not sure how I missed those notifications. Reefi looking good. I have upgraded to a Meridian 11 as someone was selling at a super good price for a basically new one. Here’s what she looks like now.

Picked a tiny cleaner shrimp, a small Lubbock wrasse, and three Astraea snails. I will keep the fish for a few months while the tank matures but eventually plan to move him to the other tank. Saw a really nice twin spot goby unfortunately there is no sand in this tank.

IMG_7555.jpeg

IMG_7557.jpeg

Also did my first top 5 parameter tests.

Alk 7.0
Ca 460
Mg 1320
P04 .13
N03 .6

I dosed ESV part1 to increase Alk to 8 which will be what I will aim to maintain and eventually dose AFR to keep stable. I also dose 1ml of ESV Nitrate.
