So.... I found 2 mangroves for $5 so of course I bought them. My lights should grow them(Ai prime 16hd), and I plan to keep them in the display. Then I realized I have a lid on my tank, so I'll have to take that off, but I have a starry blenny. I've heard they jump, but this one was kept in an open top before I had him, never jumped, my mesh is also pretty wide and the lid is pretty loose, it's just the stock innovative marine lid. It seems like that lid wouldn't do much if he decided to jump so should I be worried?
Also wondering what I should use to supplement nutrients in the water since I only have one fish at the moment the mangrove would also be competing with some macroalgae. Would chaetogro help with that?

usually mangroves come with very little roots so you can try to find the correct corners for your mesh screen and make a little "cut out" for the tree. Easier would be to buy another diy mesh top as it has all the corners in there already

So, they got here yesterday and I immediately threw them in the tank. Later I read through some mangrove related threads and apparently they need to be acclimated if they were not grown in full seawater. I contacted the seller to ask if what type of water they were grown in, still waiting on a response. I'm wondering if it's too late to acclimate them, they still look healthy, but it seems like they only show bad signs after a few weeks.
