Ich is one of the most common diseases that occurs in our aquariums and some of us have larger tanks than others and cannot catch every fish and move it into a hospital tank. so what are their options be for treatment be in a large display. Please share any experience with this common issue in our hobby. This thread will hopefully help many reefers in the future who will undoubtedly run into this problem.

You can treat ich in your tank, but not cure it. Look at all the stickies across the forums and you will see the consensus on ich as we currently understand it.

Unfortunately there is no safe way to remove ICH from a reef tank (if you could come up with one, you would be a millonaire :) ). The only options that work are Copper, Hyposalinity, and the tank transfer method......all of which will harm sensitive inverts and need to be done outside of the DT. Other methods can help (UV, reef safe meds) but they will not totally eliminate the parasite from your tank.
