Increasing of Magnesium

Hi!
What speed of increasing Mg is I can do?
For example, I have 1150 ppm and I would like to increase it to 1350. How much ppm/day can I add Magnesium?

I have raised mine by 50ppm per day without any issues.
Personally, I would not do any more.

Can I use MgSO4*7H2O for that?

seems suspiciously low. Is it reasonable in your tank? Meaning you have dosed more than a thousand ppm calcium and no alkalinity over some period of time with little or no water changes?

If not, it might be time for RMM, rather than dosing.

Perhaps you can go into slightly more detail? It's a little unclear.

I’ve just used Randy recipe for diy mag and it works a treat you need the calculator for how much product to use . A lot cheaper than the fish shops

The intent of that statement, which is an impossible result, is that magnesium testing is often very inaccurate, and since deviations are slow and small, folks are better off not testing at all than making big corrections that actually make things worse.

It certainly is not higher than that value, nor is it ever more than about 1/10th of the calcium consumption.
