I was at MACNA in Dallas Saturday and ran into an LED light manufacturer named Sea Star by Lamp Craft. They manufacturer a 48" dual bar light that I can have either 2 white or 2 actinic or 1 each for under $200.00. They also make the full spectrum LED's only I think they are smaller and didn't catch a price on them. Has anyone heard of these guys? The reason I am asking is I am on the "Wife" budget and thought I would have to go with T5's but these end up costing the same as T5's when its all said and done since I figured I would need 2 48", 2 light bars for my 60" 100 gallon.

LED's are flooding the market right now, there every wear and in every thing.I believe the quality and pricing are only going to get better!!!

I talked to them today and it looks like they are in production now. They haven't received their lights yet. Should be in the next few weeks then they will be able to test the output etc and get their pricing finalized. I got "About" pricing from them this weekend and if I am remembering correctly the "About" pricing was somewhere around $115.00 for a single strip 48" and $175.00 for the two strip but I could be off a little. We'll see for sure in the next few weeks though.
