Hi All,

Just wanted to show off my new build! I am been waiting for my 170 from innovative marine and it has finally arrived! From the packing to the overall quality, Innovative marine has really out done themselves! 5 doors that open so you can access the sump from anywhere, aluminum stand, 1-inch thick glass, and over from one side of the tank to the other, Euro bracing, I can go on forever!




I will have more pictures to come and will be reviewing the new Innovative marine Helio 1000 Watt PTC Smart heater soon!

One question on plumbing - looks like drains and returns all go to the same place?

One question on plumbing - looks like drains and returns all go to the same place?

I have not plumbed the return yet, I ran out of blue pipe LOL! But All the drains are in the same place and the return is in the middle.

I see you have a lid sitting there...where did you get that?

Is that the DIY from the IM website? If so...does it fit well?

Also...what are you mounting those lights on? I don't want to hang lights from the ceiling...but doesn't that type of tank prevent you from using clamp on light mounts?
