Installation wasn't very hard at all. Overall colour is better. But there's shadowing. Can maybe separate the primes a little more.

This is the stock Red Sea lighting. 10k is not very flattering when it comes to the visual look of corals.

A quick and easy hack to modify the stock lighting to get a more pleasing colour out of the stock lighting. I used black tape to cover up some of the white on the bulbs.

Here is the end result with black tape on the stock lights.

The colour was a lot better but really killed the intensity.

Now the the actual ai primes. Installation took about an hour. The built in wifi make these perfect for enclosing into the rsm hood.

Now I can do some fine tuning to get the perfect color and intensity. This is what the setting are at for the picture.

Sorry to resurect an old thread but love this idea.

How do you like the 2 AI Primes in your Red Sea 130?

Did you end up liking those lights?

Did those lights survive being that close to the water?

How did mount them? I can't quite tell from the photo? What did you do for ventilation for them?

Thanks, Doug
