International Move - advice on offloading tank?

So I have a near certain international intercontinental move coming up in the next six months for a combination of work and family, and taking the tank with me isn’t possible.

I’ve seen others at the LFS enquire about decommissioning tanks and they also don’t buy livestock (corals or fish) but promise to take them in, but I’m a little cynical that if they’re not selling these animals then they’re just doing the dirty work of flushing them…

Ideally I’d like to sell or rehome the livestock but don’t really know where to start with this type of project, so am looking for advice from anyone whose had to do this.

R2R has a livestock selling forum. It gets a bit trickier on places like Facebook but you can usually make a post about rehoming in a local fish group then send the price over PM.
