took a few pics today when I was feeding the fish and I had recently got a coral sun 420 I believe nm light which the guy at the fish store told me would look like my blue + . he was horribly incorrect. my ballast wouldn't fire up with out a new bulb. Anyways long story short it looks like a vho super actinic lol which I don't mind but my point is that the pink in the light makes pics come out way better on an iPhone than anything I have seen so far.

Here is blue+ and coral + shot it has a hard time washing out the blue even with Snapseed. 4 bulbs on

The latter are with all bulbs coral + and blue + and one of these pink coral sun bulbs
Difference is night and day.
I would have a really hard time capturing blues and purples with my iPhone camera with my normal bulb setup. Alternating blue + coral +

If you let that pinker bulb run for a month, or two, it might render color in the coral that you do not have now - you might love it or you might hate it, but it will likely be different. Daylight is certainly easier to photograph.

You need to smack somebody who told you that a 420 bulb would look like a B+... complete idiocy. :)

What coral is the third pic down? Yes very hard to capture the true color of the coral if it’s a blue coral. I like taking the frag in my sump where LEDs run and adjusting them until I get desired coral color

Good question got it at a swap in January from a guy who come up from Virginia can't remember his name but it was a 1" frag in January
I believe he had it under radions where it looked completely different
I will try to hit him up for a name I believe I have his info somewhre
