Im currently treating a purple tang for marine ich. Today is the second day of treatment and I am using Copper Power. I use my hanna checker to check the levels. Yesterday was 2.38ppm. Today was 2.42ppm. Is this an acceptable range?

Do you have any pics of him from quarantine? Mine looks horrible as far as looks but he still stays at the middle cllum so he mudt not be suffering too badlyI ran a purple tang through copper power for 30 days at 2.5. You should be fine but as mentioned test often to ensure you don’t go too far above this.
Unfortunately no photos but he came through the treatment just fine. When you say looks horrible how so? Is he twitching or swimming erratically? Those would be cues your particular fish isn’t handling the copper. Mine never exhibited any abnormal behavior.Do you have any pics of him from quarantine? Loss of appetite is also a side effect of copper. My fish did lose appetite as well during treatment but never stopped eating completely. You have a little wiggle room with your copper level to lower it a hair but everything I’ve read and had success with personally says to stay in the 2.25-2.5 range. Looking at the pictures he does look rough. Loss of appetite could be temporary due to the sudden exposure to copper or could be from advanced stage of what looks like ich?? Hopefully one of the more experienced forum members with extensive knowledge of qt process and fish disease can chime in and give more advanced advice. Just trying to point you in the right direction as best I can.No hes swimming fine. His swimming patterns arent erreatic and are normal. He just looks horrible and isnt eating
How long has it been at full dose copper power? No hes swimming fine. His swimming patterns arent erreatic and are normal. He just looks horrible and isnt eating
ITs been in there for 3 days, but wouldnt matter now as it passed away last nightHow long has it been at full dose copper power?
Is it breathing fast?
I’m trying to determine if there is a second underlying disease or if the copper just hasn’t had time to work yet.
Sorry to hear thatITs been in there for 3 days, but wouldnt matter now as it passed away last night
