Is AI worst app ever ?

Hello everyone,

I only have one question, and if you don't feel like reading all of the thread, here it is: is there a way to upload a preset to the Hydra32 HD ?

I just want to start by saying that I'm a real fan of technology and I am trying to keep up with everything. Since 1st of Feb 2020 I've bought my first AI Hydra 32HD and the new Nero5 pumps. I do not want to go into details with all the issues I had with these products so far, but in my opinion the motto of this company seems something like "production, production, production", as a result a poor QC and poor customer service.

I've seen a ton of youtube videos about these new products, but EVERYONE was saying only good and positive stuffs about them, so what more reasons do you need ?

Anyway, I have the products now, so lets put them to the test, right ?! First thing first, setting up your lights. Wait, the app is not working properly and/or some features are missing. I know that older models can be controlled by WIFI and the new versions are working only through bluethoot and that's fine for me, but how can I upload a preset ? Seems that there is no feature for it. I have even tried on the official myAI website, but I can not add my hydra's SN because it's made of 14 letters and numbers, and the current website accepts only 12 :)

Try joining the AI Prime/Hydra Reef group on Facebook, a lot of good people there willing to help.

Hi Dan, If you have the app, go here: https://www.aquaillumination.com/lightsciences/signature-series and download one. Just click the name, like Saxby. Once you download, open your app. Click the star and you should be able to see your presets. Both downloaded, and ones you've created. Hope this helps! Great lights!

Well to answer your question in the post topic. No, it is not the worst ever. Red Sea's "ReefBeat" takes the cake on that one in my opinion.
I have both AI and Red Sea lights as basis for my opinion.

Okay presets aren’t as easy to download anymore from what I understand but I never had the old light only the new 16hd.

On IPhone if you download a file from anywhere, in your internet browser there will be a little blue download symbol to the right where you type out websites. Click here and then find the file click it and you then click the save button on the top right and copy it to the myAI app.

Here’s some pics of the steps.
