Is G4 that much better than G3

Are Radion hie optics worth that much more? I can get used g3 for 300 or used g4 for 650 . Besides the power pack that’s all I see different. Not sure?
Is it worth twice as much? Any g3 owners that upgraded to g4 and was like WOW?? Lol I can get two g3 for price of one

Will they not work alone? Looking for a clean look with the arm .

G3 will work alone. I do prefer LED/T5 combo, but haven't been able to do anything other than G3 so far, and it's plenty PAR for keeping any kind of corals
