I think a manifold is a good practice. It’s probably cheaper and simpler than multiple pumps. Possibly less heat than multiple pumps. Being able to adjust flow to each device and shut off each device independently is a big plus.I had not considered flow rate. Keeping this in mind, I would think the reactor requiring the highest flow would be first in the chain and the one requiring the least amount of flow at the end.
I recently set up a PhosGuard reactor, my first reactor and appreciate how well it works. I didn't have another reactor in mind and was curious if I would be able to take advantage of multiple reactors on one pump if I decided to add on.
But the down side is significant; all reactors are either on or off. Running them independently would require multiple pumps or one pump and a really complex manifold! ;)
