Almost certain this is aiptasia but the color seems a bit too white compared to what ive seen before, no clue where it came from appeared out of nowhere and haven't added anything new to the tank in months. Thanks in advance

Yes I think so. Pain in the butt. Get it now before it multiplies. I like joes juice for spot treating but it’s harder to do when the are on the side like that. But if you can get a squirt in the mouth you won’t see that one again. Hopefully it’s the only one (doubtful) so you might need some ongoing control if more pop up.

I feel your pain. I'm in the middle of treating them in my system. Common sump for everything they said - great idea and less maintenance they said. But now those little blessings end up everywhere.

I have berghia, pepermint, and this week got a coperband from Dr. Reef. I think I finally got them on the ropes. The copperband and nudis is what seemed to work for me. Here's one on the glass:

grown 3x since I got them so I know they are eating aptasia.

Sadly we dont get berghia here! Never seen them dont even think thr LFS here know what it is. Last time I showed them a picture he scratched his head. I think my best bet is a filefish which ive seen here. Im in the middle of both an ich outbreak that has killed multiple of my fish an within a month recieveing a much bigger tank but moving everything from this one to the other one.
No new fish to be added until I finish a 76 day fallow period and my concern now is that Aiptasia will spread like crazy during that time.

76 days unchecked - yup you will have more than one. wish I had better news. maybe a true peppermint shrimp in the meantime, and some calk paste? I added peppermint because they might work - i have seen no evidence of this personally. The CBB picks at them all the time tho. Have not tried filefish. good luck!

No luck finding peppermint either. Ill try and look for one of these pastes in the meantime even though I've heard mixed reviews but that seems to be the case with everything in this hobby.

This stuff ABSOLUTELY works if you can get a squirt into the mouth. the aptasia pretty much melts into its hole and never comes back out. Its quick acting enough that it does not cause them to spread before dying. If you can find something similar or make your own, its worth it.
