Help, is my acro bleaching or growing. It was completely brown up until last week thursday with great PE. On Friday I noticed the tips becoming white and it stayed that way till now. The whitening did not increase or decrease. I'm worried because I have not noticed as great PE since it happened. Attached is a picture:

I use a Salifert test kit to test my parameters:
Since June my average alkalinity has been 9.72 and no change since then. I've had this coral in my frag tank under an Ai Prime, it was under T5's from the guy i bought it from. Had it for almost a month now
Salinity 35ppm
Ca 350ppm
Kh 9.72
Mg 1250

Agreed with above, looks like burnt tips. Could be alk, could be the light change. Any idea what the intensity was and what is the intensity now?

Havent a clue of past light intensity but right now its under an Ai Prime (Not directly) set at 50% Whites. My alkalinity has been consistent at 9.72 for a very long while now and my other parameters have been stable. All other SPS are doing great in the tank...

Its a tough one to diagnose honestly but i would think its an alk or light change and it took a couple weeks before really showing signs of stress. You may be hitting that sps with 50% more light than it was acclimated to but its tough to know without using a par meter.

That isn't growth. I would guess the LEDs are cooking it. Move it to lower light and give it some time to heal.

Its currently 14" down and 12" away from the epicenter of an Ai Prime set at 50%. Any less light and it will be in the dark lol

Then the opposite, it wasn't getting adequate light : ) But now its tough because if you put it in more light it may cause more stress.
