Hi am new to this hobby and I will like to know what kind of coral it is and if is dead or alive?????

It looks really stressed, if there’s any life left in it. I would start with checking your basic parameters like calcium magnesium Alk and nitrates. If it’s a new tank, it might’ve been to early for coral.
The tan was established for 4 years all my water parameters are good salinity is good I never checked magnesium I bought the tank from someone the tank seems to be healthy

  • To answer you question, the coral is alive but is dying.
  • When did you purchase the tank?
  • You need to get a reliable test kit and test you parameters.
  • Just because it was stable doesn't mean it is still stable.
If you moved this tank in the past few months after 4 years of being setup, you disturbed an ecosystem that was doing good and established.

Now you need to figure what is wrong with it.

True at the beginning the nitrates were thru the roof even tho I used the same water he had I did but was table that's how he looks now
