So this is going to be a long story but it is necessary.

So I had gotten a 3" engineer goby at the same time as my Dusky Jawfish for my 75 gallon. The goby was friendly with the jawfish and even lived in the same burrow. After a week, he disappeared. My mom saw him one week later. I was and still am hopeful that he is alive hiding.

Fastfoward a month and I saw, to me horror, a dead sailfin molly in the jawfish mouth. He spat him out later. I am not sure if the jawfish ate him alive or if the sailfin molly died and then got eaten.

Fastfoward a another month and I got a peppermint and he is missing and it has been 2 weeks.

I am not sure if the jawfish is a murder. He shares his burrow with other fish and they have not died or gone missing.
