My purple polyp green birdsnest is turning a tan is color on the bottom. However, I have a Jason Fox Slow Burn Montipora that is doing perfect. Is this natural for a birdsnest or is something wrong?

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
