Is my tank safe?

So when I started my tank I didn't really do water changes for the first few weeks, then the water got clowdy, and I realized it was from the built up tap water because that's what I was using. I have a rodi filter now and have done three 25% water changes. My big worrie is that if I get a couple snails there just going to die. I've done a lot or research and a lot off people and chat GPT said that it will be fine. I'm just worried because I feel like the tap water was really built up, any suggestions or am I safe.

I’d run some carbon, and drop some snails in a couple days later. See how they do and go from there. I bet it’ll be fine tho

Would something like a carbon bag to put in my filter work or di I need a reactor?

I just did some research, and it said carbon was just for like yellowing an other stuff. Not to lower the actual stuff from the tap water.

You can just do a big water change and if the tank is cycled you're fine IMO. I don't see how tapwater would make it cloudy. That's generally from a bacteria bloom. Most bacteria aren't directly harmful, but their presence indicates excess organic matter that they're consuming from the water. They will deplete oxygen especially once they consume all the food and die.

Carbon can help remove chemicals you don't want in your tank. It's generally not very good at removing copper, which is the biggest thing I'd be worried about for snails, though it will remove some. If you're really concerned, just do a massive water change with RODI water, but there are plenty of people who run, or have run tanks using tap water.

The cloudiness is very likely unrelated to the fact that you've used tap water.

I've done three 25% water changes so far, do you think it's ok to get some snails now and start only doing 12% water changes. It do I need to do more

1x 75% WC is slightly more efficient than 3 x 25% WCs, but personally I'd put them in.

If the water isn't visibly cloudy anymore you should be fine

As others have stated, snails will be fine in there. Is there anyway you can test the water that is currently in your tank?

Yes I have tested everything, and there all in a good level except phosphate is a little bit high.
