I see everywhere that when being compared to other Tangs, the Regal seems to be on everyone's bottom list of choice. Even the Yellow wins several times. The Regal is not as vibrant as Yellow nor its closest rival which is the Powder Blue. They're also the most vulnerable to ich. Where's the love for our Dory?

Sorry for being salty today haha, but I think it's a fun topic to discuss.

One of my favorites. Had them in the past but knowing now how big they get I haven't gotten one.

They are a beautiful blue that's hard to get with other fish.

Yes- I had him for 18 years- if he was a human child it would have been time for college! He was 5-6 inches when I got him so was prob at least 5 years old. Got him from a place in Texas called Marine Center. That place was ahead of its time. Fish were QTed and in great condition. Also got a coris wrasse at the same time that was really cool and lived for ten years.

He's older than my brother! How does he look and how big is he now?

I think their super cool just get too big for my setup at 155gal dt. I know some people would have them in a 155, that's their opinion in mine the full grown fish just wouldn't have room with my rock work etc.

He unfortunately died ten years ago. I still have an ocellaris clown that is still alive. Tank raised!

I agree it's a cool fish. I'd have one if I had a larger tank. No more fish for me at the moment.

I think they are beautiful fish! I recently went to a local to pick up some frags and saw his display... woah he had the biggest and healthiest blue tang I have ever seen! It was the star of his tank and all over the place.
