Is there a "coral finder" application/website?

Let me start by saying, I am a reef newbie...

I am wondering if anyone know of an application that will help me find the easiest to maintain corals.

Something similar to the PlantFinder on APC

It would be nice to window shop corals, especially since there are so many color morphs being referred to on this forum. I went to the for sale section, and was sort of put off by lists of abbreviations and color morphs, with non-labeled photos.

I'm not aware of anything like that, but it's a good idea. Because you posted this in the soft coral forum I assume that's what you're looking at right now. I've found just about any photosynthetic softie to be good for beginners. Stay away from strawberry corals (Scleronephthya.). The bright colors are tempting, but they are difficult to care for. I've heard some zoanthids and palys can be more difficult than others, but I'm far from an expert there.

thanks for the suggestion, what are some photosynthetic softies? I just picked the soft-coral forum since there is no general coral section on the forum. Maybe I should ask to move this thread to general section
