I just picked up this massive coral from my lfs for only $80usd and I was wondering if this was a goni or Alveopora. When I first looked at it I thought it was an Alveopora but I'm not quite sure. Any ideas?
Also hard deal to pass up on! It's about the size of a dinner plate

"Where they differ is the number of tentacles on each polyp. Alveopora have 12 tentacles on each polyp while Goniopora have 24. That is the quickest and easiest way to differentiate the two."
