Got this coral about a year and a half ago. My buddy was letting his tank go. Gave me what he thought could survive. Still got the Randall’s goby. Seems to be fine with my bare bottom tank. Never had much luck with torches in the past. Been keeping it in low flow and low light. Pic is taken with an iPhone 8 through a brown lense pair of sun cloud sunglasses. It’s pretty close. Lighting is a single reefbrite blue strip. Full lighting is a 4xati sun power with the reefbrite 24in over a 40 breeder. The torch is in the corner out of full light.

If it's really that yellow, you might have a few thousand dollars in frags there. The tips aren't blue so not holy grail, but maybe an indo 24k? Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in.

Sorry. The pics are lame.

been planning to give a frag to another local reefer. It took a few months to get the flesh back around the skeleton. The skeleton is very skinny compared to my other euphyllia in my tank. I’ve been nervous about fragging. My friend paid a premium price. I know it has a fancy name. He didn’t remember what it was. He had another similar torch that he said was too far gone to save. I’m bummed I didn’t try to change his mind. It was another fancy one that people are always posting. Bright green with yellow tips.

I’m not so worried about what it’s worth. Just wanted to share how I’ve nursed it back to health.

Since I mentioned the goby, I just noticed it eating flake food in the past couple months. My friend said he never saw it eat anything. Same for me until it started with the flake. Pretty healthy fish. Plenty of pods in the tank and clowns busting out babies all the time.

Branching LPS and feather caulerpa aren’t friends.
