Hi all,

I recently decided to try some SPS. I put the coral I received a in a coral QT (my first time as well). I have had them in QT since 4/13.
This weekend I noticed this black spot on my montipora and today on my stylophora. Can anyone identify. Should I be worrying?

Pics are fuzzy to tell. Are you able to dislodge the spec with gentle blasts from a turkey baster?

Thanks for the tip. Will try tonight. Had to leave early this morning and didn’t have time.

I’ll update once I try.

Just to update. I tried blowing it with a Turkey baster with no luck. On my mom to seems unchanged or just slightly larger. On my stylophora it seems to have appeared on this edge. (I took new pics with the spot outlined in red).
Thoughts? Advice?
