Is this normal behavior for 2 new clowns?

I think this is the captive clown behavior .

Over Bred in line and fed like robots 50 to a tank and they def act strange in a normal tank.

This is the advancement in the hobby, turning a once 30’dollar starter dish into $500 collector items.just give me my true Percs and leave the live aquaria spenders to bid on the mutants

A quarter may be too much. U can probably half that. You just don't want food sitting around rotting and causing ammonia. I'd cut the quarter in half asked see if they finish it, if so put a bit more in. I have a measuring cup I dip in my tank and then defrost their food in it so I'm only pouring tank water back in. Others will strain it, others just drop it in.

I will try to cut the quarter in half but as you know those cubes are difficult to cut. I have done the defrost in a cup method and also the strainer method and I think it is a toss up.

Should I stick with every other day with the smaller amount?

They are awful to cut! Every other day or daily I think the only thing that really matters is that they finish all or most without it sitting around. Try a half a quarter and if finished feed the other half :)
