I had been searching my tank for my newly acquired big brittle star when I had a customer come by. He was looking at some of my bta's and commented about how cool it was that the starfish was hanging out in one... Come again? Yup, thar' she be clear as day. They both seem to be okay with their arrangements at the moment but I don't know if it is safe situation... for either party involved.

Not sure if it's ok or normal behavior but very cool pick.

I'm not sure if it is detrimental to the nem or not, but my brittle changes handouts periodically. I've never noticed him distressing or damaging any coral. I'd say keep an eye on it...but if you see no signs of stress, roll with it. I have anemone shrimp that sit on my bta's and maxi mini's...so nems are typically ok with company.
