" AI Overview

Have a question about Blue Monster 4 oz. Pipe Thread Sealant ...

Yes, the most common Blue Monster pipe thread sealant is aquarium safe because it is NSF Certified for potable water, non-toxic, and has NSF 14 and 61 approvals. It is a heavy-duty, industrial-grade, non-hardening sealant that adheres to oily threads and is safe for use on all materials, including plastic pipe systems like those used in aquariums."

You want a PTFE pipe thread sealant which specifically lists plastic in it’s intended applications!

These thread sealants never actually dry/cure unless they’re in an anaerobic environment! — you want to try to only get it on the threads, and not have any large gobs of sealant which will be pushed inside the plumbing during assembly!
