The tank is a Fluval Evo 13.5 gallons. The stand is made for 10 gallons aquarium and is 20 inches long x 10 inches deep.

The Evo has a base that’s just a little under 20 inch x 10 inch, but the glass extends 2 inches more, making it 22 inches long. So there are 2 inches of the tank that are hanging over the stand; could that make the stand tip over ?

It looks stable but looks can be deceiving and it’s making me nervous. Is it safe or will this risk tilting or crashing in a few weeks/months?

Thank you !

You should be more than fine.
On another note... I’d turn the tank with the 2” overhang facing away from the wall, rip off the black vinyl to make it a Peninsula style :)

Oh, I might try that !

You have quite the eye to distinguish vinyl from paint, lol !

Looks fine to me. The weight appears to be evenly distributed. The only thing I would do, if it was me, is replace the cabinet top with something a bit more substantial.

I’m so not handy…. I wouldn’t know where to begin and I have no tools.

Knowing myself, it won’t last long anyways. I don’t like the color and I find it too low.

I need it to be good enough though because it will take a while before I replace it.
