Is this tank going to be a disaster ?

Hello so I’m leak testing a 40g. I have one from Petsmart (Marineland) and 1 Petco (Imagitarium).
And both have those bubbles all across the front panels. Is this bound to leak on me or is it safe to use? Both are brand new tanks

As long as the tank isn't leaking, yes. The bubbles don't mean anything.

All this being said, have a plan of action just in case. I came up with a leak on my 75g and really wished I'd thought it through and had something to go on. Ended up increasing to 90g and had to shore up my stand. I figure my lack of preparedness cost me 16 hours or so.

you should be fine. those bubbles are from gas coming out during curing not going in from anything. However, I would be careful when you are cleaning the glass, to remove algae and such, and try to avoid getting into that silicone with the edge of the blades on scraper. Are these going to be display tanks or are they more utility/sump related operations? becasue if they are not display where your worried about trying to get a clear algae free front glass from corner to corner then you are good2go :)

It was for display, ended up not feeling to confident on the tank. Ended up getting an Innovative Marine 80g AIO instead lol but thanks for the feedback

well.... lol that's quite a switch lol and far less likely to leak :) I am not a fan of the cheaper tanks for saltwater. I know they work but they really were designed to hold water and all but dang that glass look thin on them

Sorry I wasn’t more specific lols but yeah I ditched it due to not feeling so confident on the tanks themselves. And with the price of the IM tanks I decided to go bigger aswell

I wouldn’t worry about the bubbles at all if the tank is dry on the outside after sitting for some time. Looks good to me!
