its hard to tell the size in a picture. But once they settle in the tank, they grow fast, and a colony of candy canes looks amazing

It looks the same to me, the heads seem to match up. In their pic it is inflated, it's slightly deflated in your pic. How long have you had it, possible it's acclimating? Mine do this from time to time.

They are not big polyps though i lowkey feels scammed
You have a completely different tank and lighting. You didn’t get scammed
Give them the proper lighting and flow and they’ll have the big polyps

The difference is the coral in the sellers aquarium is happy from being in the same parameters for a long time. Your frag was cut from the colony and then transported to your aquarium that most likely has different parameters and lighting.

Once the coral acclimate to your aquarium it will puff back up provide you keep everything stable.

I have also noticed that candy cane tends to grow more compact and puff up less in higher lighting and flow conditions.
