$60 was a decent offer. Probably dodged a bullet though.
I once repaired a 20g with a similar issue near the top. It looked like a manufacturing defect not a pull away, just like yours.
I took a small hypodermic needle and filled it with silicon. I then injected it into the bubble and filled it in. Never had an issue but I lived dangerously back then, lol.
