Issue with Eshopps 5.0 dosing container

I bought this unit back in January and decided it was too big to hide anywhere outside the tank or inside the stand so as I was putting it back in the foam slots to store it in my closet for future use one of the **** broke off. There was no blunt force or anything that could’ve broke it off so easily besides it being a manufacturing defect. I’ve tried reaching out to Eshopps asking to swap it out with still no reply. Just wanted to share my frustration.

Sucks :/ Maybe you could use acrylic glue to fix it, it's easy.

We apologize. But this is a very old model. It may have been back stocked by the dealer you purchased this from since we have not produced this model for over 5 years at the very least. We do not stock this model anymore for sometime. Although we did offer a free replacement nipple because it does look like the threaded male part of the nipple is the one that broke. But you declined. Lastly, we suggested you contact the dealer you purchased this from since they know this model or item has been discontinued for years and they know selling them years after DC may cause issues. Also, i looked up the dealer you purchased this from, they have not ordered directly from us for a few years now. Sorry you're going through this. Let us know how else we can help.

Hi all, I wanted to post an update to this. Eshopps did reach back out to me and offered to prove the nipple piece but I declined because it snapped off and I wanted to see how aqua cave who I purchased it from would handle the situation after having only owned it for 2-1/2 months. As Eshopps mentioned aqua cave is still selling these units that are 5 years old. I’ve read that acrylic doesn’t last extremely long and I’m guessing it snapped because of its age but idk for sure. Anyways aqua cave is sending a permanent fix that requires me to drill into the unit to install a new metal *** piece. I hope it holds together but we will see. Aqua cave told me to either glue it back on (which doesn’t sound like it would hold up at all) or they’d send me the metal *** piece. Not too sure how I feel about all of this but I will say Eshopps did reach out and offered to replace the *** piece and explained how the units were old and how they weren’t why Aqua Cave is still selling the units. I will say Eshopps sells some really good products and I’m happy with all of the other items I’ve purchased from their company.
