Hey all

I have a Tunze Osomolator that has suddenly started to beep and stop working. I checked the water level, which is fine.. and the sensor seems ok (visually)

Any ideas? Here is a video to give you an idea of what it's doing (or not doing)

thanks

Most likely the pump is bad, what is happening is that every time it goes to turn on the pump, a voltage issue occurs, it turns off and tries again.

1) Wrong power supply, verify this first, the power supply should be labeled Tunze, order number 5012.010, 12V 1600mA.

2) Check the pump connector clips, make sure they are not shorted by sitting in water or badly corroded or covered in salt creep.

3) Make sure the pump speed is not completely maxed out, if you turned up the pump speed, back it down slightly, this tends to happen with the stock pump past the 3 o clock position.

4) If everything else checks out, try with no pump connected, if it comes on, stays on, indicates the water level correctly, a new pump will solve the problem, generally pumps last 2-3 years. The pump is part 5000.020. If you want a quieter pump that can be disassembled and cleaned and pumps higher, you can use High Jet 5000.021.
