Hi, I was dosing Fauna Marin chemical, and i dose almost 5L of Mag mixed liquid in a month but the number wont go up as i wanted.
I am still dosing like normal, 311ml/per day in 7 days like the math told me. But i wonder if i put 2L of Mag liquid or 800g of Mag powder in to my tank, it's faster and not going to waste?
My tank is 400L
Ca: 460
Mg:1120
Kh: 6.5
No3: 8
Po4: 0.14
Thank for helping!

Not sure how large your tank is, but that sounds like a lot of Mg. Are you sure your test results are accurate? (is it possible you're reading the results in reverse?)

Hi, it’s a small tank, 400L = 105gal.
I use Redsea test kit, and i pretty sure that my reading are correct. But i will try another test kit today.

I have a 200-gallon system and I maybe dose 8ml of Mg daily to maintain 1450ppm. I'd double-check your test results and maybe have your LFS test it as well (I don't have my Red Sea kit handy, so I can't remember if it's reagent used or reagent left).

If you're reading the opposite that could explain your test being off (not saying that was the case, but I made the same mistake with my Red Sea Mg test kit the first few times I used it and actually ended up with Mg well over 1600 when I thought it was around 1100).

Red sea test is reagent used, and i do it correctly
I dont know what is wrong, my mix batch is bad or my test kit are expired.
I am getting Salifert Mg test kit now, if it correct it mean i must dose about 2liter of mg to my tank.
Now i am dosing 312ml daily.

I agree. New salt water is not likely this low in magnesium at 35 ppt.

What is the salinity?
Hi Randy, my Salinity is 35ppt.
I just got my new salifert test, and the result is 1470 ppm.
Now it make sense, because i dose about 300ml/day
Thank for helping me btw
