they might be reaching for lights since they're near bottom however this other frag it's at the same level and they look fine
 
Should I move this frag to the mid area to see if they changed?? I wouldn't like to do that cause it's glue to the rock..however I would do it if it's necessary..
 
zoas are all different in light requirements. Some love lots, some love little. Looks like those particular ones like light. I have some that really like being on top and some that thrive on the bottom. I would move it up.

I had zoas that looked much like this until I increased flow. They lowered and are producing polyps.

When they plump on the top like that means beef up the flow , nd whatever tank theyve ben in didnt have really bright lighting
