I'm little late to the party but welcome and you're off to a great start keep updates coming love seeing a system take off and become a reef. A beautiful feeling we reefers share ;).

If it's clean dry rock it won't require any curing just put it in the tank with the sand and cycle the system as you would normally do. (Add ammonia source, test for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate until cycling is finished) approximately six weeks give or take. Only rock with animals on or in it that died during shipment or while being held need to be cured.

when i received the rock it had a bunch of sponges and stuff which i feel i removed most of the visible waste etc.so will probably just throw it in as you suggested appreciate the input

sorry for delays just been a little busy....but today is the day i put water and sand in(feeling amped)........i want to get this cycled asap because i will be taking down my 40 breeder and would like to keep a couple fish from there....when i get the sand and water in will post some pics

i have a question for everyone ...i will be taking down my 40 once i get my 20 cycled and will have alot of stuff to sell/give away .....am i allowed to post those items on here?thanks in advance
