So i had posted a month or so ago about how im taking all my hermit crabs out, cause i caught my Halloween hermit eating my jack o lantern lepto and i had zoas go missing
Funny he choose that coral but anyways this is what he left for me to salvage
He cleaned the skin right off of it but in 3 tiny very tiny spots
Coral has stayed alive.. but yea think it will make it. I have a few photos of what is left. It hasnt grown back at all nothing. Ive dipped it once to make sure it was clean and since then i havent moved it from this spot
Maybe just needs time to figure stuff out. I spent a lot on this tiny thing lol so upset it happened like i have plenty of montis but no my only lepto which i really wanted

I’d leave it alone, might make a come back..cucs usually focus on dying tissue so it might have been having issues to begin with? Maybe too direct light, I like to hide frags on the edge of rock work when they’re not 100% happy until they start growing etc then move them more into light.

I had him not even a few days
It was in prime health
That crab i know eats corals
Caught him eating zoas to and i lost a mushroom once. No trust to the crab.
But it could have had some issues idk.
Light i can see for why it dudnt grow back quickly as i gave it to much. but i did catch that crab ripping pieces off it.

Doesn't look good. leave it be for a little while.

I dont put my hands in my tank much
But i have been moving this guy on the sand bed outta the way of my urchin

If it was only a few days old the light par could’ve stressed it, unless it came from under the same lights/par obviously. Good move getting that crab out of there though. Guess you’ll find out if it’ll make a come back! Hope it does, love jack o’s.

I had a frag that I thought was dead (no color left at all). Kind of forgot about it and noticed a week or so ago that it appeared to have color so I took it out of it's hidey spot and found it has a pencil eraser size bit of life so I put it with my other lepto frags and am letting it do it's thing. Now I have a graveyard where I put things that appear to have died and I check periodically to see if there is any life.
