JACKPOT! My 75gal build.

So today I found a 75 gal rr aquarium on craigslist. 100bucks! Guy needed it gone asap. So I snagged it. Cleaned it. It did come with a massive damsel and a 5inch long tomatoe clown which will be going tonthe fish store on trafe this weekend. Untill then they reside in a 10 gallon.

So for a hundred bucks, I got tons of stuff. Tank, stand, vho lighting, which I will be switching out for my halides.

Dual 250w halides would cover this correct?

The skimmer and uv sterilizer I have yet to identify. I need to clean them up. A hydor power head and various pumps.. so for now heres a pic. Lots of work to be done. Starting with a new hood.

Oh and thanks to R2R at Rap in orlando I have some awesome rock to use!

Update time. Had to rebuild hood, old one had some water damage.

Ordered a brs rodi and reef octopus 110int skimmer. Tank came with an odysea...scrapped it.

Going to run vho during cycle and stabilization...

Used my RAP reef to reef raffle winnings, the rock work

Live sand and rock in in. Tank will be filled wednesday. Used some of my water change water to keep sand in water. Pic time

Yeah, dual 250 watt MH will do very well on that tank.

Ha! Wish I never sold the Infiniti fixture I had. I'm going to have four overdriven T5s too.

So my rodi, skimmer and sock kit came in today!

Got the rodi running and water mixing. 12g in the tank so far...probally 3 day fill up.

Patience my friend... i watched everyday for about a year. I got a wild hair and decided to sell one of my extra vehicles to help fund a tank. The day after it sold I found this gem, for its price i couldnt beat it. Not to mention the 25 in store credit I got for the 2 fish that came with it....so i payed a dollar per gallon for a nearly complete setup lol

Tank is dirty as all-get-out in the pictures and it's made by Perfecto.

A good deal compared to new I'm sure by a long shot but hard to tell from the pictures if it's worth it or not.

I'd really rather find like a 75~150 preferably with some gear.

Thats not bad...

I litterally just measured to see how much water was left to go and noticed something pecular about the tank...a 75 is only 21 inches deep....mines 24 lol...its a 90gallon. The guy i bought it from aparently didnt know. And i never checked
