I love this thread! I have a question to anyone that comes by...
Don't you wish you could keep the original colors and shape from the original picture that shows this coral right after Jake collecting it? We all know that corals will change their metabolism to adapt to captivity and it's a little bit of a challenge to be able to achieve the results resembling what we see in the ocean, but not impossible.
In most cases it's not easy to follow that line of thought, specially when we absolutely have no idea of what most corals sold in the aquarium industry used to look when it was in the ocean.
But in this case we do know. In my opinion the beauty of what it was in the ocean is what the coral actually is supposed to look like.
I know not everyone will think like me and that is fine. If you do, please let me know..
I just wonder if there is anyone out there that achieved such results and how. Lighting, water chemistry and flow are the basics for the understanding and to begin with.
