someone told me there are restrictions on bringing coral collected in japanese waters to the US..is that correct?

from them to us yes but over all it gets here through round about ways every day. lots of loop holes. also ALOT of the japanese stuff you are seeing right now is just labeled as such however collected elsewhere
 
id heard that some stuff was coming via canada... wouldnt be surprised regarding the re-labelled stuff

why is it restricted?
