Biggest tip...know your parameters. Consumption and dosing are paramount for stability

a couple months after diatoms, after atleat two months of adding fish, if you are not adding fish, then I would wait until two-four weeks after adding cuc

Tricky question. Depends on how you started your tank as well..dry rock..live rock. A big factor is the "maturity" of the owner as a hobbyist
