@taphil if you dont mind can you throw down your basic water parameters?
Age of system they are in?
Par
Temp
Salinity

Phosphates?

Beautiful shrooms I just want mine popping like how I recieved them.

Tank is about 4.5 years old, 100g display and about 30g sump, CAD Lights Artisan II.

Sump has biopellets, skimmer, chaeto, 36W cheap Jebao pond UV sterilizer.

PAR: No idea. Never measured. But I can grow SPS on the sandbed. Radion Pro G3 running 100% intensity, 100% all channels at 12pm and only white channel goes down 20% every 2-3h til 11pm, then everything dims down for the night. I've had this program for the past 8 years, never bothered to change it.

Temp: 77-78 in cooler seasons, 79-81 warmer seasons.

Salinity: somewhere around 1.024-1.028

Nitrates: always been 2-5, but I haven't checked it in a year

Phosphate: never had any reading above zero, but I haven't checked it in a year

Calcium 450-500, Alk 8-9, Mg 1500, pH 8-8.2

Only dose calcium, alk, and Mg. Once in a while I'll measure potassium and add as needed.

15g water change every 3-4 weeks.

Got tons of fish, only feed fish flake food, algae sheets, and Hikari mysis.

Awesome thank you for taking the time to break it down much appreciated! There are probably alot of us that just can't seem to get Jawbreakers right and out of alot of research ove found alot of people also have issues keeping them.
I bet that Par reading would be well above any reccomended levels for shrooms. Nowadays I'm feeling like as long as Nitrates and Phosphates are balanced in any particular system it probably doesn't matter where they sit.
Never thought of Potassium.
My Clacium is on low end.
Magnesium way low.

Thanks man
