I’ve had this one for almost 4 months now. It had a lot of white when I got it but has since filled in with orange and is starting to get done red spots.

Here’s an update. For some reason my JB gave off 2 babies and is now kinda shriveled up some. It has added some more red specks. I feel like some areas are getting a green tone, not sure if those spots will turn(but hoping) In the pick you can see the babies at 12 and 5 o’clock.

Lol, yeah when I got this JB It was already growing on the underside of the plug. So I flipped it over and glued it to another plug. Problem solved.... I’m finding this more of an issue than you would think. All my shrooms have moved their foot to the edge of plugs and discs. Guess I should be glueing these guys into the rock work soon.

Did the purple spot change color or disappear?
Also, did you keep the babies/growing them out?

Definitely adding some of these to my stable, but I have to let my system mature out and settle in more before I can justify dropping the coin!

Ahhh good point on the purple. I don’t see it anymore, maybe it was a piece of debri. Or maybe it’s in a wrinkle spot.

I still have the babies. The guy I got mine from said every baby he grew out developed red green and purple. It’s taken 7 months to get these green spots.

I wonder if the colors eventually stabilize and stop changing.

Quick question. I know Kmaintl jawbreakers are the OGs, but what about the Poletti strain? They appear to be the same strain, since they both can develop the green and purple (sometimes) and can get really big, but I just wanted to verify. I know there are other jawbreaker strains that don't get as large and only develop orange and red. Thanks

Interesting!?! But that's why this progression thread is great! Keep up the posts.

That's a beaut @tiggs . Hopefully at 3" it'll kick you some babies in short time!

Wow that’s a nice one! Mine is maybe an inch wide. It doesn’t seem to want to get much bigger either. It’s only maybe 8 months old though.

For some reason I thought mine was a poletti strain.

Thanks! The one in the pic above is a Poletti strain, then I also picked up a smaller one last week that's roughly 1.5 inches when fully open. This smaller one doesn't have lineage that I'm aware of, although it does seem to have a lighter shade of orange. I'm not sure if that's just because it's smaller, different strain, or from then coming from different tank conditions.

Update shot, was really looking good this afternoon. It also has a small semi attached baby which I swear is mostly green. We’ll have to wait and see on that one.
